The ASAIR AM2302 Digital Temperature & Humidity Sensor, also known as the wired version of the DHT22, is a high-precision digital sensor designed for accurate environmental monitoring in electronics, IoT, automation, and embedded system projects. It combines a capacitive humidity sensing element and a high-accuracy thermistor to measure relative humidity and ambient temperature with excellent reliability.
Unlike analog sensors, the AM2302 outputs a calibrated digital signal, eliminating the need for analog-to-digital conversion and making integration simple with popular development platforms such as Arduino Boards, Raspberry Pi Boards, ESP32 Development Boards, ESP8266 Development Boards, STM32 Development Boards, and other microcontrollers.
Offering a humidity measurement range of 0–100% RH with ±2–5% RH accuracy and a temperature range of -40°C to 80°C with ±0.5°C accuracy, the AM2302 is ideal for weather stations, smart home automation, agriculture, industrial monitoring, and educational projects. The sensor includes an internal pull-up resistor, operates from 3V–5V, and communicates over a single digital data line, providing reliable performance while requiring minimal external components.
