Its been a standard for a long time now and even today most of the devices like your phone charger, development boards like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, Sensor modules, data transfer devices utilize the 5V power standard to work properly. This 5V-700mA power supply module utilizes Switching Mode converters to produce a regulated ripple free 5V output which can be utilized without worrying about noise and ripple malfunctions. It is isolated from external circuit as well so you don't have to provide any fault detection relay and protection circuit for it. It can be used to power your low power electronic circuits like battery charger, Powering development boards like ATmega and Arduinos, powering digital sensor circuitry and loT devices.
